This photo shows a pair of nineteenth century reading glasses placed on top of an opened page of the Bible (chapter four of the "Apocrypha").

The glasses were designed to be hung from a cord worn around the reader's neck.

The Victorian bifocal spectacles are of 10K white gold, and were donated by J.E.Ciszewski of Chicago.

The family Bible is a gift of Mrs. Wm. R. Kucher of Ottawa, Il.
